We are at a strange juncture. The symptoms seem familiar. We have experienced months of rising inflation and are living through something akin to an inflation scare. There is war involving Russia, a major energy exporter. The war in Ukraine compounds an existing crisis in the global energy economy. There is even talk of oil boycotts.
It seems like if you ask a bunch of economists to explain a bunch of data, you always find yourself at a "strange juncture" because no one has arrived at any sort of universal explanation for how things work or what might happen next.
