“Dawoud Bey & Carrie Mae Weems: In Dialogue” at the Seattle Art Museum made for inspiring viewing. Under the impression left by (finally) finishing the Neapolitan quartet by Elena Ferrante, I found Weems’ images of Mussolini’s Rome both unexpected and absolutely arresting.
